2 month check-up

It's hard to believe that Avery is already 8 weeks old! Yesterday we went for her 2 month check-up. We were excited to find out how much she'd grown but dreading it because we knew she was in store for several immunizations. The good news is that Avery is growing just fine. She now weighs exactly 10 lb. and is 23 1/4 in. long. She's in the 49th percentile for her length but only the 26th percentile for her weight. So basically she's long and skinny! Then it came time for the immunizations. Avery received one by mouth which she tolerated just fine. But the shots were a whole different story. She got one shot in her arm and 2 shots in each thigh for a total of 5! Of course she screamed and cried and then I proceeded to cry with her. The terrible thing is that she has to repeat all of these at her next visits at 4 months and 6 months. Yuck! We made it out of there and got her home where she took a decent nap and then slept her longest amount ever last night. As you can tell from this picture, it was a rough day...
