Happy Halloween!

What a fun time! Avery (for the most part) understood the concept of Halloween and trick or treating! She was hesitant going up to houses but loved picking out a piece of candy and putting it into her "purse" as she called it. I was shocked that she actually left her headpiece on but it was good that she did because it was so COLD! We only lasted about 30 or 40 minutes and had to head back- her poor little hands were like ice. After we got back home, she found the basket of candy that we had set aside for the trick or treaters and started taking that candy and putting it into her own basket. She also experienced her first sucker and loved it!

My dad was in town for the weekend so that was special as he experienced her first "real" Halloween with us. We also met up with a friend of mine and her family who live in the neighborhood. Sarah's daughter Audrey was a bumblebee so she and Avery were very well coordinated! It was a great time!

On our way out-

And she's off!

She did not let that bag go once!

Busted! Sneaking candy for that basket to hers!

First sucker- yum!

The sucker aftermath- bath time!
