Avery experienced her first wedding, and I, my first outdoor wedding. My great aunt Betty married John in a beautiful backyard wedding over the weekend. It was very hot and humid, but once under the tent, it wasn't so bad. The wedding involved a 5 hour one-way drive for us which made me nervous with Avery because she hasn't been in the car that long since she was 6 weeks old. But she did great! Aaron bought a DVD player for the car and she watched "Wonder Pets" (her new favorite) for a good chunk of it. That was probably the worst part of the whole weekend- needing 3 days to get the theme song out of my head!
It was so good to see family that I haven't seen in quite some time and to come together for such a happy occasion. I am blessed with a wonderful family!

Enjoying the pool at the hotel.
Avery kept cool (and entertained) with Aunt Becky's little hand fan....that is, until she got her hair stuck in it!
The happily wedded couple!

The setting was beautiful. And so much pretty landscaping.

Cutting the cake

My mom's side of the family minus a few that we couldn't round up at the time.

Just us girls- would have been a little better had Avery's head not blocked grandma's.

Me and some handsome man that I managed to get a picture with.

Great pictures except...I wish you could "white out" one of the "girls."
Avery looks cute in the pool and van watching a movie, I think I am going to try that on my drive to St. Louis.
