Rough day
Tonight I write this with a heavy heart. Like so many other Americans across the nation, I was laid off from my job today along with about 9 other folks. I was the Marketing Manager for Burwood Group, Inc., an IT consulting firm based out of Chicago. I had been with the company for 3.5 years, basically our entire time in Illinois. It's a scary time to think of looking for a new job as many are not currently hiring. I do have faith and a trust in God that He will provide in His way. I ask that you please pray for our current situation and that God will bring to light whatever might be next for me down the line. My mother shared this quote with me that she heard on the radio- "A job is your resource and God is your source. When your resource goes away, return to your source and he will provide a new resource." Quite fitting.

I am so sorry Lindsay...I know it's the economy but it's still hard! Think of it as a blessing in disguise? Anyway, hope things are going well for you (other than the job) and we'll have to get together soon...come back to M2M!
I wish I had something "inspirational" to say, but I can't think of anything. Just know that I love you and will be praying that you find exactly what God has in His plan for you.
Hi, I my name is Kim and I found your blog from other friend's on here. My husband worked for a Mitsubishi vendor in IT until just over a month ago. They were about to shut down for 90 days, when my husband got an IT job at ISU. It was really a blessing for us. I know that ISU is hiring in a lot of departments right now. It's worth checking out. Good luck to you and your family, and remember when every door closes another opens.

Oh Lindsay, I am so sorry to hear this news. I know that it is a tough time for so many people, and I hate to hear when layoffs effect someone I know personally. My thoughts are definitely with you and your family and I hope that you find something new soon. My best wishes are with you in your search.
I will be praying for you, Lindsay! The saying that always helps me through rough times is "When God closes a door, he opens a window." I know He has great plans for you:-)
Sorry Linds! I'll be praying for you! I hope we can get together soon and I 2nd Ryan (come back to M2M!)
Lindsay, I know with your talents and creativity, you will find something that you love and that will work for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You are a fantastic person and God will provide.
Love, Jessica
So Sorry to hear about your job loss. I will be praying that God will clearly show you what direction he wants you to move in next. If you can, hope to see you at M2M.
