11 months

I'm really not even sure where the last month has gone. All I know is that "my baby" is almost one and she daily shows us just how close she is to that birthday. Avery is not walking yet despite predictions of her being an early walker. We think that she could because she can stand by herself briefly until she realizes she's all alone and she walks with her push toys all over the place. She's just not in any hurry because she gets everywhere by crawling so fast. Maybe in time for her birthday... Avery is into everything. She knows which kitchen drawers and cabinets will produce the most entertainment and she loves to chase the dogs when she's in her walker. It's quite funny. She'll take off charging at them when in her walker which sends them running the other way. She actually laughs and giggles when they do this. She has been trying for so long to say the word "dog", or at least we think that's it. She points to the dogs and says "daw". She just can't quite get that "g" sound yet. She does say "mama" and "dada" but still her only distinct word is "uh-oh". She knows exactly when to say it and she'll do her best to create an "uh-oh" situation by dropping her paci or sippy cup on purpose. We visited Aaron at his office today for lunch and he had several boxes and papers stacked on the floor and her first response was to point to them and say "uh-oh". Avery loves to hear things make noise. She'll shake things, push things, bang things together, whatever she can do to get a noise. Avery now has 4 teeth, well, more like 3.5. Her 2 bottom ones are completely in as is one of her top middle. The other top middle is about half way down. Oh, and I can't forget her sweet kisses. She's known how to give a kiss for awhile now but it wasn't always so natural. Now, if you get close enough to her mouth, you get a big, open-mouthed kiss. And if you ask for one, you just might get several in a row. She can also blow kisses and "give 5"- most of the time. Avery has also started to become very attached to items. She HAS to have her particular blanket when she sleeps. She also likes her fishing pole and her winter hat. Not to sleep with of course, but she'll drag these around with her for hours. We were at the doctor this week and she weighs right under 20 pounds. Love this little girl!!

I can't believe how the time has flown by, she just gets bigger every time I look at her. She is also getting even more cutier if that is possible. I can't wait to see her, you and Aaron, love you all very much.

Lindsay, I have to ask a question that I am struggling with...to buy or not to buy the bedding set (with comforter, bumper, etc.)? I noticed that in your pics you do have a bumper on the crib, what are your thoughts on them??? I am just so confused. THanks for the advice.
