15 months

We took Avery to the doctor this week for her 15- month check-up. Nothing much to report expect that she's healthy and growing just fine. Avery weighs 22 lb. (35%) and is right under 31 in. tall (55%). She is so much fun right now. She loves to be a helper, play with her baby, and squeal like a girl. And it is one high-pitched squeal, that's for sure!

Avery knows many words and does a pretty good job at conveying her point. Some words that she's very good at: baby, bubble, dog, bird, mama, dado, uh-oh, ball, mow (as in lawn mower), ....and the others are escaping me right now. Avery can also sign for other words that she can't yet say like: milk, more, please. Oh, and she can also bark like a dog and roar like a lion. Except for that the barking only comes out as "fff-fff", as in the last part of "woof, woof".

She is also starting to grasp the bigger picture in some scenarios. For example, when at the pool, if someone dives off the diving board and goes under water, Avery gets very upset until they come back up. I guess she knows that they're not supposed to be under water?? Not sure on that. It happened again tonight when the TV was on. Someone was swimming and went under water and Avery pretty much panicked until they came up for air. It's very cool to see Avery develop each day. Lovin' it.

More pool time.

I cleaned out Avery's closet and came across this travel swing that we used in Texas last summer. Needless to say, it's still sitting in our living room because Avery likes to use it for her baby.

In true girl fashion, Avery thought she needed a purse on her arm in order to feed the dogs. We need to work on the matching concept a bit more ;)

This is how Avery keeps a purse on her arm when she's busy doing something else. Hey, it works, right?

The picture where she is carrying the dog dish and her purse, the look on her face is "woman on a mission" move out of the way. Now for the earrings!!
