Prior to having kids, we used to spend many summer nights outside on either our's or Matt and Ellyn's deck. Talking, laughing, grilling out, singing, looking at the stars, confiding...just being. And it was nice. Often times, even when it wasn't summer, we would wrap up in blankets and hoodies and try to sneak out for a few minutes. Over the past few years though, our outdoor sessions have lessened. Kids have bedtimes. Schedules don't match up. Someone's out of town. Life IS happening.
But every now and then, we squeeze it in. We make it work. And it's still nice. Just different. This summer was no different, except that we added a 2nd baby to the mix. And just as many times before, it was chilly, but lovely nevertheless.
