Father's Day 2009

While in St. Louis this past weekend, Avery and I were able to take my dad out to dinner for an early Father's Day celebration. At dinner, I remember thinking back to the Father's Days where I would make my own card for him. Now, however many years later, I'm an adult having dinner with my father but with my own child in tow. It's just crazy to think of the big picture and what each year can bring. Pretty cool.

Aaron's flight got in late Sunday afternoon. He was home when Avery woke up from her nap which was exciting for her. We gave Aaron his presents and then surprised him with dinner at his favorite restaurant in town- Lucca Grill. So glad we were able to get some time in with Aaron before the weekend ended. Aaron is such an amazing father to Avery. I couldn't ask for a better partner in parenting (and marriage).
