Avery has also started shaking her head "no" for pretty much everything even though I'm not convinced she knows the full meaning of it. She loves ketchup, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, quesadillas, macaroni, fish sticks, yogurt, pretzels...not too big on meat yet. She loves going outside and taking walks. She's extremely particular about routine and the order of how things should be. If we forget to put a bib on her, she'll point and say "bih" before she'll being eating. She doesn't like the pantry door to be left open or her dresser drawers. She understands that before we get in the car, we have to grab our keys and she has her's hanging next to ours. And how's this? If we forget to latch the safety locks on the cabinet, she'll point them out and make a fuss until we latch them.
Another first happened about 2 weeks ago when Avery, (how do I put this tactfully?), went #2 in her potty. It hasn't happened since but she at least gets the concept. She says "shooie" when her diaper needs to be changed and then walks on in for us to change her. She still loves her baby and now has a high chair, crib, carrier, changing pad, and clothes for her babies. Avery loves to wear bracelets and wear her pink high heels around the house.
It seems as if everyday Avery is learning a new word. I don't know where the count is now, but there are probably more than I can remember. Here are a few that she says: ball, dog, baby, bubble, shoe(s), bird, mow, milk, bean, moma, dado, nana, papa, book, "bayboo" (the name she has created for her pacifier), keys, water, drink. The best of all just happened within the past week- she has begun saying her name! It has to be one of the cutest things ever. It comes out as "A-wee" or "A-wer-e".
Life is good.
Looking for her belly button
