The 4th: A weekend of firsts

The 4th of July weekend was a wonderful weekend for the 3 of us. We relaxed, played, enjoyed some favorites, but also experienced many "firsts".

At the park taking a breather from running around

So happy to be cooling off in the water at the park

I think that must have been a cold shot of water right up the shorts!

Trying to catch a drink

Waiting for the fireworks to start with friends (from my camera phone so it's a little fuzzy)

The Master Chef preparing smoked chicken for friends who came over (I think it might have been the best chicken I've ever tasted!)

A "first": Avery with sparklers

A "first": Avery about to enjoy a popsicle that we made together

So good!

The juice is the best part!

More sparklers

A BIG "first": We finally took off the rail on her crib and converted it to a toddler bed. What a big girl! She absolutely loves it and I absolutely cried my eyes out! Where has the time gone??

A "first": I painted Avery's toes pink. She was so cute afterward trying to walk and watch them at the same time.

A "first": We took Avery to the theater to see her first movie, Toy Story 3. She did great! Such a pro at eating popcorn with one hand and drinking her Capri Sun from the other, all while keeping her eyes on the screen.

These are all GREAT!!! She sure is getting to be a big girl, maybe time for earrings? I love the one with the water shooting up her shorts and she is sure surprised with it.

Had to add another comment, the top picture is PRICELESS! She is such a daddys' girl. Lindsay she looks more and more like you did. Thanks for sharing her "growing up" with us that can't be there to see it in person.
