Our trip to Texas

We finally made a trip to Texas. It was fairly short, only 5 days, but a trip nonetheless. It was also our first summer trip since Avery was born. We weren't able to go last summer as I had just started my new job and didn't have any vacation time yet. We made the most of it and enjoyed as much family and pool time as possible. It was unbelievably hot with temp readings over 100 degrees. Avery had a blast! She was like a fish in that pool and was in at least once a day. Avery also enjoyed playing with her cousins. They were so sweet with her and she of course, ate up all the attention they were giving. Luke celebrated his 9th birthday while we were there. Aaron and I were also able to squeeze in a date night with some old friends of his- both of the guys were in our wedding. We ate at Gloria's in the Rockwall Harbor- amazing Mexican food! Well, onto the many, many pictures. I only had 414 to choose from, so lucky for you, I narrowed it down to roughly 20!

In the plane on our way!

Avery in h
er float

Aaron and his siblings started going through old boxes of stuff and came across some of this winter gear. Can you believe he still fits into some of it??! He reminds me of one of the guys out of the movie Dumb and Dumber...anyone else?

Big girl going off the diving board!

Avery and her cousin, Blaine. She never would look him in the eye- she always got bashful and shy around him.

Avery with Grammy and Poppy in the pool.

The 3 (almost 4) of us.

Kicking around all by herself!

Off she goes again!

Avery with Granny Lou and Aunt Pat- not actually related but they hold a special place with our family.

Do we need to get a piano? She was so dainty and gentle with the piano and tried to mimic her hands just like Aunt Pat's.

Enjoying a popsicle with Daddy in the pool.

Avery with Jack, Luke, and Tucker.

Enjoying Poppy's pizza.

Princess of the pool.

Wherever Jack was, there was Avery also. They were inseparable!

Happy 9th birthday, Luke!

Our date night

Nathan, Aaron, and Josh

Loving some pool time with Avery.

Grammy found some goggles for Avery.

Not sure where she picked this up from- it was hilarious. She got out of the pool with this float and threw it on the ground. She proceeded to stand on it like she was surfing.

Avery and the boys.

Avery and Jack.

Going down the slide with Daddy.

Josh and Addyson with Avery and Aaron. Avery and Addyson are roughly 5 months apart in age.

You look like you all had a good time, the picture of the two (3) of you on date night is really good. Glad you all had a good time.
