How NOT to take your children's pictures

I never thought I would dress my girls alike.  Ever.  But here I am, a little more than 3 weeks into Emmersen's new life and the poor girl has been put into a dress that matches her big sister.  And you know, I kind of like it.  Granted, I won't make it an everyday occurrence, but still, it's pretty cute.  Today for church, I dressed the girls alike in grey, polka-dot dresses with the intention of taking pictures when we returned home.  Mistake #1.  Should have taken them before leaving the house this morning.  Avery and Emmersen were both tired and hungry but I was determined to get pictures done prior to food spills and spit-ups.  Mistake #2.  Should have taken care of the necessities first before resorting to bribing Avery with candy just to smile.  Because of these 2 mistakes, I ended up with whiny, hungry, crying children, a frustrated husband, and not the best pictures.  Eh, lessons learned.  There's always next time, right?

Meltdown #1 in progress.
The start of meltdown #2, compliments of Avery.
As good as we're going to get for today.

Avery looks so cute in the second one, I am sure she is thinking "hurry up mom, I am hungry!"
