Fly A Kite

I know the saying of "you don't appreciate something until it's gone" is true and I've never doubted it, but since Aaron has moved to Spokane, I am living it. There have been so many moments over the past couple months that I have wished more than anything he could witness, particularly with the girls. Fortunately, he has caught some thanks to iChat, FaceTime, and Skype, but it's not really quite the same. One memory-maker that I've been able to hold off until Aaron's visit this weekend is kite flying. Avery has been begging to fly her Barbie (yes, what else did you expect) kite and I've been able to get her to wait until now. Aaron's home for a couple days and this morning after church we headed to a field in the brisk fall air to make a memory. Together.
