With no real agenda, aside from eating cake and opening presents, we let Avery and Emmersen entertain us with their antics and infectious laughter.
As every parent will say, I truly don't know how an entire year has gone by and we are celebrating Emmersen's first birthday. But here we are and I am grateful for this new life and the chance we have to be a part of it.

I can't even begin to explain what happened here. Emmersen became obsessed with this particular present. She tried extremely hard to get it up into her chair and then she would sit on it. She then got mad because she was sitting on it and wasn't able to get to it so she would yank it out and toss it on the floor. She'd then start all over again. It was hysterical and she had every single one of us rolling with laughter.
