Time Spent

It was fairly chilly during Aaron's parent's visit so we spent most of our time indoors except on Saturday when we ventured to Uptown Normal for their Christmas season kick-off. Most stores offered specials or samples of food or drinks. We mainly went to hear the carolers and see Santa. After our unsuccessful attempt at visiting with Santa (see Emmersen's face below), we decided we had had enough and called it quits on our excursion.
God's timing is perfect, right? He proved that to me again during this visit from Aaron's parents. I was able to head to Spokane for several days and house hunt with Aaron, leaving the girls at home in excellent care. I'm happy to say that we've narrowed our search down to 2 houses and Aaron will continue to work on that process even now that I'm back home. Aside from looking at houses, it was wonderful to have a couple days with Aaron alone and to also have some quiet plane rides along the way. I'd forgotten what those were like! While I was away, Grammy and Poppy loved on the girls and spoiled them rotten, as grandparents do. I'm happy that they were able to have the time together as well.
