Ave and Auds

This afternoon Avery had her friend, Audrey, over to play.  Audrey is almost 3 years old and the daughter of my good friend, Sarah.  They live in our subdivision and in fact, we pass their house every day coming and going to our own.  "Audrey's house!" yells Avery EVERY time.  It thrills me that she has so much fun with Audrey and that they get along so well (minus the typical "she took this or that, etc!")  So Audrey came over for about an hour and half and they had so much fun as you can see from the pictures below.  I'd catch myself standing outside her bedroom door and just listening to their conversation.  They discussed baby dolls and what they should wear or one would convince the other to jump on the bed on their knees.  And to hear their giggles- sweet, innocent giggles- made my heart melt.  It gave me some insight as to what I might be hearing in a couple of years when my own 2 girls are playmates.

It is good for her to have a playmate, sounds like they have fun together, even the jumping on the bed, made me think of her Nana, your mother, my sister, we didn't jump off the bed, we went through walls (that will be a story for me to tell Avery and her sister some day!) Oh, the joys of being a big sister as Avery will soon find out, it is PRICELESS!!
