I might be crazy stressed and close to full-on panic mode because of this hectic cross-country move we've just made, but if I make myself stop, breathe, and look around, I have absolutely nothing, NOTHING, to fret over.
I have 2 healthy babies, an amazing husband, a roof over our heads, and we are all TOGETHER. The one thing I've wanted and needed for 6 months now- togetherness. And I have it. Right here. Tonight.
Today we celebrated Christmas Eve by putting the boxes aside for a bit and just enjoying some time together. The girls and I baked cookies for Santa, we salivated at the wonderful smells of the roast cooking in the crock pot, and played witness to some of the fattest, fluffiest snowflakes of all time. We attended a Christmas Eve service at a local church and Aaron wrapped up the evening by reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas" to the girls.
My gift this year? We're together.
