Well, at this very moment in time, we are homeless and in complete limbo. We've said good-bye to our home in Illinois, are still days from stepping foot into Washington, and all of our earthly possessions are traveling on a loaded truck somewhere between points A and B. While waiting for our flight to Spokane, we've crashed in St. Louis at Nana and Papa's house. And though we are still two weeks from Christmas, we celebrated anyway. Aaron's mom and dad have flown in from Dallas so that Aaron and his dad can start the thirty hour drive with the dogs to Spokane. Grammy will join the girls and I on the plane. The more help, the better!
God-willing, I know this is not the last time I will see my family, but it somehow feels like it. Reality is sinking in that I will no longer be just a 2.5 hour car ride away for a quick, weekend visit. I know that distance is something we'll get used to, but right now, it seems like a very foreign concept.
Great-grandma is mending some holes in Avery's beloved zebra blanket with her "sticher", as Avery would say.
