Can't Be A Cupcake

I don't know about you but my "go-to" kid treat is a cupcake. Easy. Simple. Add some sprinkles and voila! A yummy dessert that kids love.

But apparently preschools don't like it quite as much. I guess cupcakes are messy. And crumbly. Hard to clean up. Sticky wrappers left over. Hmmm...

I was left in a quandary for what to take to preschool for Avery's birthday since cupcakes were not an option. Cookies seemed too simple. Fruit or granola bars were way too healthy. Enter Oreo cake pops. Never made them. Not a clue how but I gave it a shot (thanks to Pinterest). Can't go wrong with Oreos!

After several broken and messy attempts, I managed to successfully prep just enough for Avery's preschool class. Good thing because they were a hit! Today was also my day to volunteer in her classroom and I loved watching Avery with her friends and to see for myself how well she's adjusted since moving.
