Ok, so have you seen the baby ticker at the top of this page lately? Nine days. 9 days! Wow, this has gone so fast. I look at that ticker everyday and can't believe how close we are to meeting the newest member of our family! It's very exciting to think about seeing what this little girl is going to look like and how her personality will be. I'm also very anxious for Avery to meet her. She is going to be such a good big sister and helper.
My next doctor appointment is this Friday the 5th. We'll see what progress I've made since last week's check-up. At that time, I was still only 1.5cm dilated and about 85% thinned. The way I've been feeling lately, I have to think I've moved a little further along. I've had some good contractions this week that last for quite a while but nothing in a consistent manner. Yesterday was my last day of work. With Avery, I worked right up until I had her, but this time is different. I'm much more tired and uncomfortable. Plus already having a child to chase after has left little time in the evenings and weekends to accomplish too much. So today begins the race of tying up loose ends and getting this house together. If nothing else, I do hope I make it until at least Saturday because I promised Avery a special mommy/Avery day on Friday. Not sure what we'll do yet, but she's excited and so am I.
